If you came up the hill for a night and stayed for a week, you did it right.
Hippie Panda sits opposite the government school on Manu Temple Road — past the bridge, keep climbing, we're on the right. Twenty-eight rooms wrapped around a cafe hut, a games room for when it rains, and a courtyard where the fire gets lit once the sun drops behind the ridge.
Nobody here will hand you an itinerary. But if you ask at the counter, someone will tell you which guide to take up to Bhrigu, and which one to skip.

Pick a bed
Hot water that stays hot, and most things have a balcony. Rates climb in June and around New Year.
Bunks with a reading light and plug each, lockers underneath. The cheap way to end up with plans.
Same setup, smaller room, bathroom of its own. Locks from the inside.
Double bed, attached bathroom, desk. Quiet side of the building — the karaoke doesn't reach.
Mountain-facing, balcony wide enough to sit on. There are four. They go first.
A double and two singles, top floor, corner window. Good for a group that doesn't want a dorm.
Any private room, two weeks or more. Laundry included, desk moved in, and a rate that stops hurting.
The hut
It's the room people mean when they say they liked it here. Cushions on the floor, a guitar that belongs to nobody in particular, and someone always making chai at the wrong hour. Breakfast runs till it stops running.
