Before you message

Two cars and as many bikes as you like, in the yard. The road up is narrow — if you're in something wide, park at the school and walk the last fifty metres.
People do, for months. Fibre with a backup line, strongest on the terrace and in the hut, holds a video call most days. The router is on an inverter so power cuts don't kill the wifi.
Always, except in June and the last week of December. Any other month, turning up works fine — but a message an hour ahead means the geyser is on when you get here.
Rooms have heavy quilts and a heater on request. The hut has the fire. It's a mountain building in January — warm inside, cold in the corridor, bring socks.
Yes — retreats, wedding overflow, shoots. Email us with dates and headcount and we'll send a number that includes the kitchen.
No licence, so no bar. Local apple cider and beer are two minutes down the road, and nobody minds you bringing it back to the fire. Glass stays out of the dorms.

Work the season

Every March we take on a few people for the season — front desk, kitchen, and someone who can actually run the socials rather than just posting to them.

Bed, three meals and a small salary. You'll work six days, and you'll know the valley properly by October. No experience needed for front desk; some needed for the kitchen.

See you up the hill

Message us with your dates. If we're full, we'll tell you who else on this road is good.
